Twitter is a microblogging social networking web site where users share text message-sized posts. Twitter was created by Jack Dorsey in 2006. Anybody can read Twitter messages or tweets, but to post your own or to be updated on the tweets somebody else posts (to follow somebody on Tweeter) one has to register.
